A bar is a perfect snack for on-the-go energy! Yes, you can buy pre-made ones, but they often have a mile-long ingredient list and cost a fortune. Pre-training, we need to make sure our glycogen stores are well-filled, and that is exactly what this bar will help you with. Packed with simple carbs from banana and maple syrup, it provides your body with the fast energy needed for optimizing performance. Poor energy levels before exercise are a thing of the past with our delicious Energy Bar. Need even faster energy pre-training? Add some dried fruits or have it with a glass of juice or milk.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 120g maple syrup
  • 1 banana
  • 4 Tbsp coconut fat
  • 4 Tbsp cacao powder
  • 180g rolled oats
  • ¼ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the peanut butter, maple syrup and banana.
  2. Melt the coconut fat and add to the mixture, together with rolled oats, cacao and sea salt.
  3. Press out the mixture on a parchment paper into a square.
  4. Place in the refrigerator and let it set for 30 minutes before cutting it into 10 bars.
  5. Store them in the refrigerator.
