Asparagus
This crunchy green vegetable is high in vitamin K and folate. It’s full of anti-inflammatory nutrients and contains antioxidants such as vitamin C, betacarotene, vitamin E and the minerals zinc, manganese and selenium.

Eggs
Eggs provide the body with protein, zinc, and b vitamin, as well as a wealth of other healthy nutrients. They are my favorite breakfast, and if you pick free range eggs over factory eggs they tend to be lower in cholesterol too.

Joselynne’s tip: Scramble the eggs, put them on a slice of gluten free toast and top them with turkey bacon.

Yogurt
Fermented foods are great for your gut. While some dairy products can be hard on your tummy, this superfood is soothing and helpful for regulating your natural bacteria to keep things running smoothly.

Joselynne’s tip: If you aren’t able to eat dairy, there are non dairy forms of yogurt that still have the cultured benefits. Try coconut or almond yogurt.

Avocado
A super duper healthy fat! Great for de-stressing, full of skin-protective antioxidants, amazing for circulation and anti-aging. These are the perfect grab-and-go snacks too!

Recipe: Grapefruit, Avocado and Crab Salad

Garlic
This little bud is antibacterial and anti-fungal. It contains a sulfur compound that aids the elimination of cholesterol and can help reduce the amount of unhealthy fat in the liver. It also tastes great on EVERYTHING.

Joselynne’s tip: Grate this onto roasted sweet potatoes – it’s epic
