Better health. It can seem unattainable. But it doesn’t have to be. Bad health is the result of several tiny decisions we make each day everyday, good health is the same.

We’ve come up with a few straightforward ways you can improve your health.

1 – Get moving

We’re pretty sedentary. We sit at work, and most times, even when we move, we’re sitting (thanks cars!). How about a little movement? It could be a 10-minute walk during your lunch break or some gentle yoga in the morning. It doesn’t have to be long, but incorporating exercise will make you feel better.

2 – Drink more water

How much do you drink? Probably not as much as you should do. We’ve got you covered. The Lifesum app has a built-in water tracker. You can set reminders and it will let you know every few hours when you haven’t drunk enough – and good hydration equals good sleep, good skin, and altogether better health!

3 – Eat your greens

The majority of us don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables, and one acai bowl or smoothie is not enough to make up the deficit. With Lifesum you can monitor these too. Set a goal in the app for how many vegetables you want to eat daily or weekly and go for it – Lifesum celebrates with you every time you reach a goal!

4 – Go to sleep!

Somehow, the inner defiance we feel as children towards sleep never seems to go away. We still don’t want to go to bed, except that we do, except that we don’t because we want to see what someone somewhere did on Instagram. Unfortunately, lack of sleep is literally exhausting. The good news is that you don’t have to be tired all the time, and that there is nothing, NOTHING, like the way you feel after a good night’s sleep. Get to bed and aim for 6-8 hours a night!

5 – Eat breakfast

Breakfast. The most important and somehow most overlooked meal of the day. It’s not so much that breakfast is good for you, as it is that starting the day in the right frame of mind will set the tone for the rest of the day. Eating a healthy, filling breakfast, will make you less likely to snack unnecessarily and empower you when it comes to making healthy food choices later in the day. It’s worth waking up a little earlier for!

Pick one of Lifesum’s easy diet plans and once all your limits are set it will guide you to the right foods and recipes to help you eat the right amount, feel better and improve your health.
