3 Health Rules from a Dietician

They’re surprisingly straightforward.

Who better to tell you how to stay healthy than our very own nutritionist Lovisa? Here are her top 3 tips for keeping things healthy:

PLAN MEALS IN ADVANCE
“If I were to give one piece of advice for healthy eating it would be planning. Just knowing what you’re going to eat in your next meal is empowering.”

– Turn to friends, family or Pinterest/Instagram for inspiration.
– Create a shopping list and cook a week’s worth of meals early on in the week. It doesn’t matter if you end up making too much, you can always freeze it and save it for later.

ONE BAD DAY DOESN’T MATTER
“Don’t ever allow one setback to put you back in old patterns. A dietitian always looks at your eating habits in the context of a week, 6 months, or a year, because it’s those timeframes that have the biggest impact on your health.”

BE MINDFUL ABOUT HOW YOU EAT
“I suggest you always eat the healthy ingredients, like salad or whole grains, first. Two reasons: 1. They’ll fill you up quickly which leaves less room for unnecessary snacking; 2. If you don’t (yet) like them that much you’ll have them out of the way early on.”

Now come on, there’s got to be at least one of those you can do!
