From Cross-training and Tabata to gardening or walking — it all counts. Track activities in your Lifesum app and see how much calories you burned.
To automatically track calories burned, you can connect your Lifesum account to Apple Health, Google Fit, Samsung Health, Runkeeper, Fitbit, Moves, Jawbone, and Endomondo. You can also log activities manually by choosing an activity in our exercise list and enter the duration of the activity. Lifesum adapts your daily calorie budget after logging a workout, meaning if you move – you should eat a bit more.
If you choose automatic tracking and use an exercise tracker during your workout, the calorie count is as accurate as it can be with today’s technology. The calorie count in the exercise list is an estimate of what the average person burn. However, the calories burned varies on your body composition (how much body fat and muscle you have).
Yes and no. To lose weight, you need to create a calorie deficit and eat less than you consume. The most pain-free way to do this is by eating a healthy diet with enough nutrients to keep you full and satisfied, combined with some exercise. There are however some things to consider. The more you exercise, the hungrier you become, meaning it will be more painful to sustain a calorie deficit. Also, if you burn much more than you eat, you risk losing muscle mass which is important for your health, metabolism and look. When signing up for a Lifesum account, we’ll guide you on the perfect daily amount of calories to reach your goal.

I have tried many different calorie counting apps and have never been able to stick to them. However, I have been using lifesum for a while now and am absolutely loving it!! I even bought the premium version! The design of the app is beautiful and easy to use.
Much easier to use, love the interface and how it has recipes and keeps me on plan. I upgraded to the full version, no regrets! I’ve tried many apps and in my opinion this one is the simplest to use and guides my choices!
This app is so much more than just counting calories, it also keeps in mind carbs, protein and fat while creating a personalized plan for you. The quiz at the beginning was so accurate and I’ve been eating so much better even after a couple days. Never thought I would be able to do it.
