“There’s more to it than calories”

Was your breakfast healthy? Is all fat bad for you? Isn’t salad always a balanced meal?

These are the questions Life Rating™ answers. Eating healthily isn’t just about how many calories you eat, it’s about choosing foods that contain all the nutrients you need to be happy and well.

Life Rating™ aims to help you:

  • Learn about healthy eating, not just count calories
  • Get a clearer idea of how healthy the foods you eat really are
  • Discover how simply switching brands can have a positive effect on your health
  • Find healthier alternatives for your favorite foods
  • Eat better

Life Rating™ comes in three forms: food, meal and day. All the ratings range from A to E, with ‘A’ being the best choice to go for, and ‘E’ being the choice you should try to avoid most.

Here’s how the different ratings work:

Food – These ratings look at the levels of fat, protein and carbohydrate in each food, along with its calorie density and the type of food it is.

Meal – These ratings focus on how well the meal met your goal for calories, macronutrients and micronutrients, as well as looking at how much of your meal was healthy or unhealthy.

Day – These ratings are similar to the ratings for meals but focus on how well the meals you ate during the day met your daily goals, along with the proportion of your day that was healthy or unhealthy.

Life Rating™ is here to help you learn more about food, so that you can eat and feel better.
