The NFL is all ANYONE is talking about right now; the Rams, the Jets, the Panthers, the Falcons… the list is endless. And the season only just got started.
We figured, that even if the NFL isn’t your thing, there are ways for you to enjoy it. So we created an NFL fitness challenge.
It lasts the remaining 14 weeks, and with an average of 16 games per week up until the wildcard round, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved!
Before the game, get your friend/SO/neighbour/whoever you’re watching with to pick a team they think is going to win. You’ll need to pick one too (and they can be the same).
Each time the opposing team scores, you do burpees based on how many points are scored.
Whenever there is a replay, do a wall-sit for the duration
Each time the penalty flag is thrown, plank for 30 seconds.
If there’s a foul, do slow calf raises for 30 seconds.
If there’s a third and long conversion, do 5 squats.
If a challenge is won, do 5 tuck jumps
If the team you are betting on punts, do 7 jumping jacks
If a field goal is missed, do 5 push-ups.
For every touchdown, 10 stationary lunges per leg.
Finally, if your team loses, do all of the exercises in quick succession with 30 seconds of rest in-between each exercise. If your team loses by more than 10 points, you only get 15 seconds of rest in-between.
