Shakshuka with Lentils

  • 200g Store-bought tomato sauce arrabbiata  
  • 3 eggs (160g) 
  • 40g leek 
  • 50g frozen green peas
  • 60g red lentils


  1. Boil the lentils according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Add the tomatoes, leek and peas into a pan or a casserole with a lid. When it’s hot, crack the eggs on top and add some salt and optional spices, like chili flakes and ground cumin.
  3. Cover the pan and cook on low until the egg whites set – about 5 minutes. 
  4. Serve with the lentils and enjoy!
