The best part about running is that anyone can do it. You don’t have to have a fancy gym membership, or a personal trainer in order to get started. It’s relatively cheap and easy to start out with and continue with.
One thing you will have to focus on, however, is your gear. Your running shoes are the most important piece of gear that you will buy. Good arch support is essential if you are going to be hitting the road every day. The best part is that good running shoes are easy to come by. Sportswear giants like Nike are notorious for their excellent footwear, the actual backbone of the company.
So, if you are on a more limited budget, skip the fancy heart rate monitors and other gadgets and spend the money on your shoes instead. A good pair of running shoes will last you over 6000km, so it is worth paying a bit extra here.
It is also worth getting some good-quality sports clothes to wear while running. Modern-day sportswear is designed to keep you cool and to draw the sweat away from your body. This, in turn, helps you feel drier and more comfortable.
