Are carbohydrates bad for you?

Both Yes and No. Low intake of carbohydrates will result in lower blood sugar and insulin levels which in turn can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease as well as high blood pressure. In a high carbohydrate diet, it’s easier to get the needed amount of vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. A high-carb diet can result in more calories than desired and thus gain weight.
