Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup / ½ dl (56 ml) wheat berry
  • 1/4 yellow onion
  • ½ tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 3/4 cup /2 dl (177 ml) cooked chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup / 1 dl (118 ml) vegetable cream 14%
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 2 cups/ 5 dl (480 ml) baby spinach

Instructions

  1. Cook the wheat berry according to directions.
  2. Chop the onion, then fry the onion and chickpeas in oil in a smaller casserole for a few minutes on medium heat.
  3. Add cream, 1/2 cup /1 dl (118 ml) water, pepper powder and turmeric.
  4. Simmer that thang for a few minutes, add the spinach and stir around.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve with the cooked wheat berry.
